Paul will tell us of the dramatic events of the Castletown Motor Tragedy on a cold winter’s night almost 100 years ago on 23rd December 1925, described by the newspapers of the day as a “shocking affair in Castletown”. Researched using the voices of witnesses and those who took part.
Everything happened within sight of St Mary’s, so it’s a chance to shed new light on places around Castletown harbour.
Coffee and chat will follow and, as usual, we will have a raffle with excellent prizes.
