Fauré’s Pavane follows like a breath of silk, its elegant, weightless melody drifting through the hall.
Rachmaninov’s youthful Scherzo in D minor crackles with quicksilver energy, a playful spark of early brilliance.
Morricone’s Gabriel’s Oboe then offers a moment of pure stillness — a luminous, prayer like line that seems to suspend time.
Alwyn’s Suite of Scottish Dances twirls in with warm, tartan coloured charm, while Tricker’s Ninian’s Lilt brings a gentler, more intimate glow.
The traditional Wild Mountain Thyme with singer Olha Prokopenko, blooms with familiar, heartfelt simplicity.
Coleridge-Taylor’s Petite Suite adds refined, colourful grace, each movement a miniature painting. Bizet’s Galop from Jeux d’enfants sends the audience out in a whirl of gleeful, irresistible energy.
