More Information (Manx Radio Motorsport is not responsible for external websites)
Yn Chruinnaght present a joyful celebration of the harvest - Yn Mheillea - through a variety concert of Manx music, song, dance, folklore and poetry.
Yn Mheillea, Yn Mheillea, t'eh ayn, t'eh ayn, t'eh ayn! [As the dance/song tells, "The harvest... it's in"!]
If you have enjoyed the inter-Celtic variety concerts during Yn Chruinnaght Celtic Gathering, then you are in for a treat during Cooish Vooar!
Yn Chruinnaght bring you a special variety concert on Sunday 27th September themed all around the Manx harvest - Yn Mheillea.
Featuring Manx music & dance from Ny Manninee (fresh from Lorient!), songs from three-time Cleveland medal winner Paul Costain CP, Manx dialect recitation from Phil Gawne, and of course, a bit of audience participation, narrator and our festival president Bob Carswell RBV will weave in the folklore and history of the Manx harvest throughout the concert in his own inimitable style.
There will also be refreshments and a short, fun traditional-style 'Mhelliah' auction afterwards (so bring your spare change!)
A special event for Blein ny Gaelgey / Year of the Manx Language during Cooish Vooar!
3pm (Doors 2.30pm)
