Mammal spotted by passenger on the Manannan
Another humpback whale has been spotted in Manx waters this week.
Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch says it received an image from a passenger onboard the Manannan, about six miles out of Douglas travelling towards Liverpool on Monday, who saw the mammal.
Sam Glennie says they first noticed the 'large blows' and clicked the photo, which shows a small dorsal fin and the 'triangular shaped arch' whales make before diving, alongside a 'bushy blow'.
The sighting follows the first confirmed humpback in six years on 11 July, and a further suspected humpback which was reported on 8 August, 10 miles west of Peel.
The group say it may not be different whales, it could be the same one hanging about offshore.
