Team member climbing height of Kilimanjaro on Snaefell
In September a group of volunteers from Capital International are heading back to the Huruma Orphanage in Tanzania to continue work it started last year to improve the facilities, the environment and the future for the children there.
Beforehand though the team is getting involved in some fundraising challenges and activities.
One member, Adey Callister has set himself an extreme physical challenge - climbing the height of Kilimanjaro in one day on Snaefell.
For context, Kilimanjaro is 19,341ft high. The Bungalow to summit of Snaefell is approximately 610ft of climbing, so the challenge will involve a minimum of 32 ascents of Snaefell!
Distance covered will be in excess of 50 miles.
