Lights to be switched on in Peel and Castletown
Christmas will reach the west of the Island this afternoon, Saturday 29 November.
The official light switch-on will take place in Peel, with events starting at 2:30pm.
There will be some traffic restrictions in the centre of the town.
As well as the chance to meet Father Christmas, there will be live music performances, free fairground rides and a lantern trail.

Meanwhile festivities will get underway in Castletown from 12pm.
There will be a Carols by Candlelight community concert at Arbory Street Methodist Church, featuring the CRHS Folk Group and Choir, and the Castletown Metropolitan Silver Band at 4:30pm.
