Pupils return from Lake District adventure
Jurby Community School's annual wilderness expedition has come to an end, after 13 children and their four mentors returned to the Island from the Lake District last week.
The expedition to the southern shores of Lake Coniston took place in partnership with local company, Adventureology, with the aim of developing the children's independence, resilience, teamwork and self-trust - taking them out of their comfort zone through physical and mental challenges.
Simon Richardson went along to Jurby School to see how they got on - starting with Head Teacher, Will Nelson, who was a mentor on the trip.
Simon was talking to Jurby headteacher Will Nelson and pupils, Leyla Lewis, Reuben Lister and Holly Misselbrook.
