Ground to be broken for new Mannin Cancers MacMillan Support Centre
What's described as a haven for people affected by cancer on the Island will move a step nearer today.
The first sod will be turned on the site of the new Mannin Cancers MacMillan Support Centre at a ceremony attended by the Lieutenant Governor, Sir John Lorimer and Lady Lorimer.
The centre, opposite Noble's Hospital, will offer a warm and welcoming environment, along with support to patients and their carers.
It will also be a link to associated charities and groups, with the facility based on the UK's Maggie Centres.
