The race director of the Parish Walk has welcomed the role the event plays as a fundraiser.
Each year it's estimated entrants raise around £600,000 in sponsorship and donations for a wide range of charities.
On Saturday, more than 1,000 walkers started the event, with 128 completing the 85-mile course in its entirety.
