Manx Radio to continue as S100 Broadcast Partner up to and including 2030 races

Agreement assures commentary for next six years

Manx Radio has been confirmed as the Official Broadcast Partner of the Southern 100 International Road Races up to and including the 2030 event.

As part of the agreement, the station will provide live coverage of the Pre-TT Classic Races and of the Annual Media Launch in February.

Manx Radio has provided live commentaries for the Isle of Man Steam Packet Southern 100 International Road Races, Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races, and Post-TT Road Race since 1964.

The station became the official broadcast partner in 2014 - the year it celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Manx Radio Managing Director Chris Sully says: 'The whole team at Manx Radio is so proud to be part of such a fabulous and unique event.

'The Southern 100 really does represent the best of what the Island is all about and it’s even more special in this, Manx Radio’s 60th anniversary year, that we renew our close relationship with the team from the friendly Races.'

Club Chairman & Race Secretary George Peach says: 'The Club are incredibly pleased that we have been able to agree to continue Manx Radio’s superb coverage of our now two races held annually on the Colas Billown Course for another five years which takes and including 2030.

'The live coverage provided every year enhances everyone’s experience of the ‘friendly races,’ be they around the course watching or listening on their radios or these days on various apps not only here on the Island, but nowadays worldwide.'

This year's Pre-TT Classic races get underway on Friday, 24 May. You can listen to live race commentary on Manx Radio AM 1368, or via the 'Listen Now' tab online.
