The hidden benefits of being in a band
Bringing generations together and boosting mental wellbeing are just some of the benefits of being part of a brass band.
That's the view of Rushen Silver Band and Ballafesson Brass Chair Chris Weldon.
He says with so many demands on people's time and attention, making music together offers an opportunity to switch off and focus on something positive.
Mr Weldon says much of that comes from working towards a common goal as part of a team:
