The Isle of Man Scout Association and Girlguiding will host a Service of Distribution of the Bethlehem Peace Light next month.
The service, conducted by Scout Chaplain Reverend Steven Herron, will take place at St Thomas’ Church on Finch Road, Douglas, at 6.30pm on 21 December.
The Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer is expected to attend the event which symbolises peace and unity during the festive season.
The Peace Light tradition involves spreading a flame lit from the grotto in Bethlehem across the globe as a message of hope and goodwill.
