Douglas teen to showcase myth-based designs at event this month
A 13-year-old from Douglas is preparing to launch a new range of 3D-printed products inspired by Manx folklore.
Scott Reid, who has been developing his own business over the past couple of years, will unveil the collection at an event on 30 April at Launchpad’s Event Space in Hillary House.
The range is titled ‘Journey of Triskelion’ and features designs based on traditional Manx stories and creatures, including the Moddey Dhoo and the Manx cat.
The launch event is set to include a live demonstration of the technology used to create the products, alongside a presentation and Q&A session.
Twenty percent the proceeds from sales will be donated to charity.
