And seven logged so far this year
Fourteen suicide verdicts were recorded at inquests on the Isle of Man in 2023.
The information has been released following a Freedom of Information request.
The data shows deaths which were registered as suicides during the year rather than deaths which happened in this time.
Between 1 January and 24 August this year seven suicide verdicts were recorded.
The Cabinet Office says the time taken from a person’s death to their inquest verdict, and registration of death, can be significant.
This means the figures will contain some deaths that occurred prior to 2023 and 2024.
It will also exclude some deaths that have occurred in this time but which have yet to have inquest proceedings completed.
World Suicide Prevention Day took place on Tuesday (10 September) - you can find out more here.
