Child flown to Alder Hey Hospital in a 'serious condition'
A fourteen-year-old boy was left 'seriously injured' after being hit by a car on Andreas Airfield last Friday (30 March).
Police attended the scene at 4:40pm after receiving a report about the collision.
The child, whose condition remains serious, was flown to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool for treatment.
Officers of the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Road Policing Unit are conducting an investigation into the incident, and have interviewed the driver of the vehicle.
Updates on the boy's condition will be released, but no further information can be given.
