Council says DoI 'omitted' cost from its budget
Ratepayers in the capital will be funding the installation of artwork along the promenade sea wall.
Douglas City Council will be providing £16,000 from its reserves to the Department of Infrastructure which has 'omitted' the costs from its budget.
The local authority says the sea wall is important for protecting the capital and supporting the project will help 'protect' local artists.
Councillor Charlotte Traynor says the new artwork will make the area more 'vibrant'.
