Cash will be used to purchase new equipment
North Ramsey Bowling Club is celebrating after being awarded over £19,000 for improvements to the club's Mooragh Park Bowling Green.
The cash will be used to purchase new equipment needed to maintain the facilities including a new mower and aerator.
Although the green is owned by Ramsey Town Commissioners there's a lease agreement with the North Ramsey Club until 2029 -it's therefore the club's responsibility to maintain and renovate the green.
The club originally took on the role in 2021 after its membership fell by 50 per cent due to a deterioration of the bowling surface.
