Three days of racing beckons on the Billown Course
Today (24 May) marks the start of the 2024 Manx road racing season.
The Pre-TT Classic Road Races get underway this evening around the Billown Course, in the south of the Island, with 10 races planned across the next three days.
The Southern 100 Club says there's a healthy entry for the meeting and more young people are continuing to get involved in classic racing.
Press and Media Liaison Officer Phil Edge says it's an exciting occasion for spectators:
Roads around the Billown Course are due to close for tonight's first practice from 6pm and reopen no later than 9.40pm.
