A political commentator says Treasury is facing a difficult balancing act keeping the public and business sector happy

A political commentator says this year's budget has 'a lot of work to do'.

Alistair Ramsay, who's also a former press officer for the Isle of Man Government, has been looking ahead to the 2026-27 financial year.

Treasury Minister Alex Allinson will unveil the budget for the year ahead in February's sitting of Tynwald.

With a general election and a MONEYVAL assessment taking place in 2026, Mr Ramsay warns Treasury is facing a difficult balancing act:
