Latest figures show steady sales in December and January, with average prices rising despite fewer transactions
The local property market remained relatively busy during the traditionally quieter months of December and January, according to the latest figures produced by the website propertyprices.im.
In December, 127 properties were sold for a total value of over £45,940,000, representing an average price of £361,736.
January was quieter, with just 84 sales completed for a total of over £31,024,000.
Despite the smaller number of transactions, the average price per property was higher in January, at over £369,000.
The information is based on records held by the Isle of Man Land Registry.
