47-year-old told police: "There's no point denying it"
A Douglas man has been fined £250 after being caught with £20 worth of cannabis.
Ian Ronald Goldsmith, of Empire Terrace, was searched by police on 11 March at an address in Derby Square.
The 47-year-old was arrested and told officers: “You found it on me – there’s no point denying it.”
He admitted possessing the Class B substance during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse telling the court: “It’s a small amount – it was for personal use.”
High Bailiff Jayne Hughes said the offence was aggravated due to previous similar convictions and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £125.
