Health department to request funds
A facility for adults with learning disabilities will receive the £5 million injection it needs for completion, if Tynwald approves funding later this month.
The Department of Health and Social Care is spearheading the project as an alternative to the existing Eastcliffe Resource Centre at Noble's Hospital.
Minister Kate Beecroft will request members' support on 18 July.
Development will comprise two new builds for the centre, an industrial training facility, an extension to the farmhouse site, and the creation of 70 parking spaces.
The DHSC runs five such centres on Island already - most of which are aimed at engaging people in improving social skills, and fostering their independence.
