Equates to 2.5 percent of annual rental income
Public housing rent arrears have climbed to £878,491.19 for the past financial year.
That equates to around 2.5 percent of the anticipated rental income of £34,163,501 from the Island's various housing providers.
Whilst rental income for the 2024/25 financial year has increased by around £2.4 million on 2023/24, so have arrears - up from 2.4 percent.
The latest figures, based on data from the second quarter, have been provided by the infrastructure minister in response to a question for written answer from Onchan MHK Rob Callister.
Douglas Council, the Island's largest housing provider, anticipates rent arrears of £266,234.05 from an annual income of £12,735,807.
