Manx Fish Producers Organisation brands change 'excellent'
Fishermen have already caught almost 100 tonnes of herring in Manx waters since new quotas were brought in last week.
That’s according to the Manx Fish Producers Organisation which has hailed the changes ‘excellent’.

The fish, which is being caught by a small number of boats at first, is being sold to restaurants, being smoked or alternatively used as bait.
Chairman David Beard told Manx Radio it could lead to other opportunities in the future:
It’s hoped the herring quota could quadruple by 2026.
