Island students still searching for university places after yesterday's A-level results are being urged not to rush it.
A record number achieved the top A*-B grades this year and head teachers report the majority have secured a place at their first or 'insurance' university choice.
But for those who did not gain the place they wanted, a wide range of options are available through the UCAS clearing system.
The advice from the Department of Education is to think carefully before accepting an offer to study a different subject at an insitution they know nothing about.
