It's always a difficult time for pupils and parents, with expectations and stress levels equally high.
The Isle of Man enjoys a degree of autonomy with regard to how it runs its education system.
School Improvement Advisor Joel Smith was asked if there is a temptation to frequently bring in change to try and improve the offering:
