Happy returns for little underdogs
Four puppies who were found abandoned in the Island last year are celebrating their first birthdays today.
The dogs were discovered in a plastic bag in a field in the north of the Island last October, in what was described as a critical condition.
Now healthy and re-homed to adoptive families, the puppies are returning to Ard Jerkyll vets for a party today.
Members of the public, and all those involved in the rescue, are invited to attend from 2pm.
Light refreshments will be available, and each dog who attends will receive a party bag filled with canine treats.
