MHK's concern over shock tactics
An MHK is raising concerns over graphic anti-abortion street protests to the House of Keys this morning.
Douglas Central member Ann Corlett will call on the policy and reform minister, Chris Thomas, to consider banning 'offensive' placards from public demonstrations.
Pro-life pressure group Abort67 have become a familiar fixture around the Island in recent weeks, with their highly controversial depictions of terminated foetuses.
Mrs Corlett says it's caused great distress to many residents, including families with young children.
She says such 'shock tactics' are unnecessary:
