Accommodation providers say little impact to MGP despite disrupted sailings

'Some cancellations, but we're busier than ever' 

Accommodation providers on the Isle of Man say they don’t believe the disruption to sailings has caused a huge impact on the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT.

Many visitors have had their travel arrangements changed as a result of the Manxman being out of action.

Co-owner of Ballaugh Campsite, Cheryl Curphey, says the facility will reach 80 percent capacity over the racing fortnight.

Cheryl adds the campsite has had 'some' cancellations due to sailings but it is 'busier than ever':

The 2026 MGP got underway on Sunday (16 August) and more visitors are expected over the coming days.
