Additional road closure for TT filming ahead of MGP qualifying

Sunday morning closure along Quarterbridge and Peel Road

An additional road closure will be in place on a section of the TT course ahead of the start of the Manx Grand Prix on Sunday (16 August).

The production team behind the new Isle of Man TT film have secured an extra closure between 7am and 9am on Quarterbridge Road and Peel Road between Devonshire Road and Braddan Oak (up to but not including those junctions). 

They say the closure is required as they were unable to complete the scheduled filming on this stretch last weekend due to weather.

The production crew says the closure time has been selected to mitigate disruption to residents on Sunday morning and to minimise any disruption to Manx Grand Prix qualifying which is scheduled for later in the day.

Saturday closures

On Saturday 15 August, roads along the TT course will be closed in the west of the Island from 6am (not 4am as previously advertised) to 2:30pm from Ballacraine to Ramsey Road (Ballaugh) from, but not including its junction with Orrisdale Road North to its junction with the Clenagh Road and Sulby Glen Crossroads.

The junctions of Clenagh Road and Sulby Glen Crossroads will remain open to traffic throughout.

Also on Saturday, the Ballacraine to Ramsey Road (Sulby and Lezayre) will be closed from 11am to 9pm from but not including its junction with the St Judes road at Sulby Bridge to but not including its junction with Glen Auldyn Road and Milntown.
