Sight Matters is celebrating 90 years
This year marks 90 years for a charity supporting people across the Isle of Man with sight loss.
Sight Matters or the Manx Blind Welfare Society, as it was known previously, was founded in July 1936 and has grown into a vital community service.
"We've been here for 90 years, we'd like to be here for another 100 years. We appreciate all the support the Isle of Man community gives us." - Cathryn Bradley, CEO Sight Matters
CEO Cathryn Bradley and Marketing Officer Peter Marshall say the anniversary is a chance to celebrate the milestones and people who have shaped the history of the charity.
There's also a calendar of events planned to celebrate throughout 2026:

Peel bar impacted by bus strikes
Care funding reform report delayed following ministerial change
Charity plans baby loss memorial garden at Noble's Hospital
New rights for neonatal care leave and carer's leave on the way
