Early diagnosis key
When it comes to bowel cancer, age is not a factor - that's the message from local charity Bowel Cancer Isle of Man.
It's delivering a postcard-sized guide showing the symptoms of the disease to every household on the Island throughout April.
The leaflets feature the story of Jamie Carr, who was diagnosed in his mid-20's and passed away in December 2016, despite being a fit and healthy young man
In the UK 2,500 younger people are diagnosed with this form of cancer every year.
Heather Norman is from Bowel Cancer Isle of Man.
