Rate at highest level since February 2012
Rising flight costs are a major factor behind the Island’s highest rate of inflation for five years.
So says the Chief Minister after the level for May rose to 3.9 per cent – that’s up from 2.1 per cent in April.
The consumer prices index - government’s preferred measure of inflation – is now at its highest level since February 2012.
