Isle of Man Post Office gives notice of disruption
The Isle of Man Post Office says it's been notified by its aircraft provider that it's been unable to dispatch mail to the Island this morning.
No reason has been given for the disruption, however its delivery partner warned last month that changes to Ronaldsway Airport's opening times could have a potential impact on delivery times, meanwhile a number of flights have also been impacted by thunderstorms in the UK in recent days.
Loganair cancelled a number of flights to Liverpool, Manchester and London City last night.
The Department of Infrastructure says the cancellations were weather-related.
Local to local and sea mail is unaffected and it will provide an update if any further disruption is anticipated.
The Isle of Man Post Office has been contacted for clarification as to the reason for today's airmail disruption.
