Case had been detected in September
The yard at the centre of a Strangles outbreak on the Island has been given the all clear after a thorough testing programme.
News that an animal had contracted the condition broke in September.
Strangles is a highly contagious bacterial infection of the upper respiratory tract that affects horses and other equines.
Chairman of the Manx Horse Council, Ray Cox, says the equine community has been on a watching brief since the outbreak was confirmed but they can now be fully confident it was contained to just an isolated case.
Strangles is not a notifiable disease, but given its ability to spread rapidly, owners are urged to report suspected outbreaks.
