Rest of population vaccinated by September
The health department says it's on course to have vaccinated everyone in the 50s and above category for coronavirus, by May this year.
That's with the rest of the population to be completed by September.
The Pfizer/BioNtech vaccines were administered on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week, and will begin again on Monday (11 January).
Minister David Ashford says by this time next week 3.3 per cent of the population will have received the jab - and he explained why they can't continue any sooner:
