Island prepares for celebration of singing
The Island is hosting a celebration of singing this weekend.
The fifth Isle of Man Festival of Choirs begins on Friday with a social gathering for groups from around the British Isles.
Voices then will be raised in song in the Villa Marina's Royal Hall as the competition starts in earnest for ladies', mens' and ensemble choirs.
Winners from each class will go through to a grand final on Sunday where Choir of the Festival will be crowned.
