Culture Vannin and Mooinjer Veggey to host International Mother Languages Day celebration
Speakers of global languages on the Isle of Man are being invited to an International Mother Languages Day celebration next month.
The event forms parts of Culture Vannin and Mooinjer Veggey's 'Year of the Manx Language'.
It will feature language and song exchange workshops, cultural displays, traditional dress, storytelling, and of course plenty of coffee, tea and cake.
Everyone is welcome, and it will be family friendly, with activities for children too.
Tiffany Kerruish is with Culture Vannin, and has been telling Howard more:
The free event, supported by the Domestic Events Fund, will be held at PromSpace, Promenade Methodist Church, Douglas on Saturday 21 February between 11am – 5pm.
