Re-elected ministers tipped for Tynwald's top role
Recently re-elected ministers Dr Alex Allinson and Alfred Cannan have become the first to be proposed for the role of chief minister.
The 24 new members have until 5pm today to put forward nominations for who they want to take Tynwald's top job.
Dr Allinson, the education minister, was nominated by Rushen MHK Dr Michelle Haywood, while Mr Cannan, the treasury minister, was nominated by Douglas East MHK Clare Barber.
Each nomination will be announced as it's received.
UPDATE: No further nominations were received by the 5pm deadline meaning Dr Allinson and Mr Cannan will go head to head for the job next Tuesday, 12 October.
