Nine thousand, three hundred and thirty-eight properties in the UK are owned by residents of the Isle of Man
The Island is 9th overall in a table of overseas buyers investing in British homes according to research by mortgage broker Henry Dannell.
The breakdown of the nationalities of owners of houses in the United Kingdom is thought to be overwhelmingly purchasers of buy to lets and frequently multiple units.
Hong Kong residents own the highest number of homes in the UK worth an estimated £10.7bn
Jersey is second on the list of overseas buyers followed by Singapore, the USA, Ireland, Guernsey, the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia with the Isle of Man just ahead of Australia.
