Manx Care says it's prioritising children
The number of people waiting to be added to an NHS dentist's list has grown again.
In May there were 6,463 people on the list - an increase of more than 200 since March.
Manx Care's latest board papers show the average wait time for adults seeking to be added to a dentist's list is now 551 days, and 518 for children.
The healthcare provider says it's prioritising children and attempting to allocate them to the same practice as their families where possible.
Work is ongoing to establish a third dental surgery room at Hillside to increase capacity, while Manx Care remains in talks to improve access to dental services for patients.
