Worst of the wind predicted to be between 3am and 3pm
An amber weather warning has been put in place for Saturday (7 December) for severe gales and storm force winds.
This is in addition to the yellow weather warning which will already be in place for heavy rain from Friday into Saturday.

Forecasters are expecting gusts of 60-70mph with a risk of 70-80mph possible in more exposed spots.
These will lead to fallen branches and or trees, structural damage, flying debris, as well as a risk of disruption to travel.
The worst of the wind is expected to happen between 3am and 3pm.
Meanwhile all Steam Packet crossings, from Friday until Saturday evening, are at risk.
