People told to expect 'fairly significant' flooding
People are being warned to expect travel disruption tomorrow (9 April) due to flooding.
An amber weather warning is now in place for heavy rain.
It will continue this evening and is expected to turn heavy with accumulations of 30-40mm expected in coastal locations; between 50mm and 60mm is expected on higher ground.
Ronaldsway Met Office says given the recent rainfall, and the ‘persistence’ of the rain today and overnight, it is likely to cause ‘fairly significant surface water flooding’.
The whole of the Island will be affected with the weather warning in place until 11am on Tuesday.
