We're being told to expect significant overtopping of waves
An amber weather warning has been issued, as strong easterly winds are expected to combine with a quite big tide tomorrow (3 February).
It will be in place from 10:30am until 2:30pm.
Warnings of this type denote a risk of severe weather impacting on work, schools and travel, with some disruption and damage in places and a risk of injury.
We're being told to expect significant overtopping of waves around the island, with debris brought ashore.
Ronaldsway Met Office says the whole of Douglas promenade will be particularly susceptible, but also the likes of Laxey and Ramsey proms and possibly the western parts of Castletown prom and Shore Road.
High tide is expected at 12:24pm tomorrow.
Meanwhile, a separate yellow weather warning is currently in force on the Island until 2am tomorrow, with some sailings this evening in doubt.
