
Well over 400 people packed out Ramsey Grammar School’s West Hall last night – to hear Isle of Man Post chairman Graham Cregeen MHK explain the plans for the town’s main post office.
There were angry scenes, with jeering, heckling, slow handclaps and calls for Mr Cregeen to resign over proposals to close the Parliament Street post office and relocate services into a nearby shop.
But there was a hint of a possible U-turn over the plans, with town MHK and Chief Minister Allan Bell saying more discussions would be held today.
