
The founder of the RNLI, Sir William Hillary, will be remembered at a commemorative service on Sunday afternoon.
The annual event takes place at St George’s Church in Douglas at 3pm.
RNLI director of operations Michael Vlasto will lay a wreath on the tomb of Sir William and Lady Hillary in St George’s Churchyard after the service.
All supporters of the RNLI are invited to attend and then join them for light refreshments at the South Douglas Old Friends Association in Finch Road.
