
A second hotelier says the government ‘s £4.5 million bailout of the Sefton Group risks distorting the Island’s accommodation market.
After the Sleepwell group criticised the deal, Michael George of the Welbeck Hotel in Douglas says times are tough for those working in hospitality.
However, he says the government’s land and loan deal to help the troubled hotel and construction group means his business may be facing unfair competition.
