First Manx penguin for eight years
Curragh's Wildlife Park has announced that a penguin chick has been born on the Isle of Man for the first time in eight years.
It's not yet known whether the chick's gender is male or female.
Humboldt penguins are found around the coast of Chile and Peru, but the species are considered vulnerable to extinction.
Over-fishing, and disturbances on the beaches where they nest are among the threats to the birds.
