An appeal against plans to build 144 homes in Peel will be heard today (Thursday).
It’s been requested by Peel Commissioners after Dandara received approval to develop on a site between Poortown Road and QEII High School.
The area is zoned for housing and the developer says if given the green light, the scheme will create 150 jobs.
However, the local authority lodged an appeal, while a number of residents – who attended a public meeting earlier this week – have raised concerns about sewerage, what they call inadequate road provision, parking and a lack of open space should it go ahead.
