Public lecture set up by sufferers of abuse
Break the silence on abuse - that's the subject of a public lecture designed to make victims feel safe, strong and secure enough to unmask it.
The 'Speak Up and Speak Out' event is being hosted by an Island-based independent advisory charity - set up by people who have suffered abuse.
It follows statistics released in the Chief Constable's Annual Report 2015/16 - showing a 56 per cent increase in cases of domestic abuse every year.
It'll take place at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas from 7:30pm on Monday (5 September).
